Goodyear and the six unions representing employees at the Houston, Texas, chemical plant have agreed to extend their current labor agreements. The agreements were set to expire at 4:00 p.m. CDT on Aug. 1, 2006. All parties have agreed to extend their current agreements until thirty (30) days following the ratification of the master contract between Goodyear and the United Steelworkers union.
The six Unions representing employees in Houston are:
- International Union of Operating Engineers - Local 564
- United Association of Journeymen & Apprentices of Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry - Local 211
- International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers - South Texas District Lodge 37 - Local 12
- Sheet Metal Workers International Association - Local 54
- United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America, T.C.M.R.C. Local 511
- International Union of Painters & Allied Trades, A.F.L.- C.I.O., CLC District Council 88 - Local 130
