On Friday, July 7, proposals were exchanged for a new labor agreement between Goodyear and the United Food and Commercial Workers Textile and Garment Council Local 88-T, which represents bargaining unit employees at Goodyear’s fabric plant in Decatur, Ala. The current contract between the parties expires Aug. 6, 2006.

These negotiations are separate from the master contract negotiations currently underway between Goodyear and the United Steelworkers.
